Hello Bonner Family,
I received the following message from Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) regarding missing paperwork to enroll in high school.
Some students were unable to be enrolled in MCPS High Schools because they were missing appropriate documentations required for enrollment. It is state law that we collect a certified birth certificate (BC) and have address verifications (AV's) that proves the student's residency in the MCPS district. If the student was born in Montana, the guardian can get their certified birth certificate at the Court House for minimal cost ($5-$7). For Address Verifications, we accept:
UTILITY BILLS (Must be recent bill with Service Address and in guardian's name)
Northwestern Energy
Missoula Elec. Coop
Garbage
Water
Spectrum
LEASE
Full Lease, showing occupants, address, term of lease, and signed by both landlord & tenant
RENTER'S INSURANCE
WE DO NOT ACCEPT
Copies of envelopes
Health Bills
Tax Bills
Voter Registration cards
Auto Insurance
Car Registrations
Junk Mail
Please have documentation to me no later than Wednesday December 18, 2024 and I will get them to the MCPS Administration Building. We appreciate all your help in getting your student's documentation for enrollment in high school. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
LanAnn Bryant-Bonner School Counselor
