Mr.Neibergs' fourth graders learned about the history of the first Thanksgiving by performing a reader's theatre. They were able to act out a family's Thanksgiving meal conversation that discussed the significance of the first Thanksgiving in the 1600's. This helped students gain an appreciation and understanding for Thanksgiving far beyond the food. They were tasked with putting together the setting, coming up with costumes for their characters, getting familiar with their lines, and acting out the scenes.
