Ten years ago, our Maintenance Supervisor, Bill Wilsonoff had an idea. Each morning as he drove a school bus loaded with students into our busy front entrance parking lot, he knew there had to be a better, safer way. Fast-forward ten years, and Bill’s idea is taking shape!
In February our Trustees approved the go-ahead for construction of a bus unloading zone, designed to separate the parent drop-off traffic from the bus unloading process. EPPICC Construction was awarded the bid and began construction during Spring Break, with a completion target of early May.
This new zone will completely separate the bus unloading process in the morning from the area where parents drop off their children. This is a significant and important improvement for student safety, and we are excited to see Bill’s good idea turning into reality!
