Ms. Barrick's TK class spread some love at school on Friday! We had our first ever lemonade stand, where the TK kids served over 100 cups of lemonade to their peers! The lemonade was free of charge, we just asked for smiles, hugs, high fives, or fist bumps!

Our fourth grade annual notables were amazing!

Bonner Families: Your child(ren) should have brought home this flyer and an envelope for families to consider making a donation to our Lumberjack Dash on Friday, June 2nd. As you are visiting with family and friends this Memorial Day Weekend, consider asking them to support Bonner PTA!
Sincerely, Bonner PTA

A huge shoutout to School Store students who designed, directed, and built this project! With the help of Student Council and other 8th grade volunteers, our students put this together in just a few days. Thanks to Mrs. Zimmerman for inspiring these designers and ordering their materials. It looks amazing!

This past month in Ms. Quinn's class, 7th graders have been reading 🍎 The Giver by Lois Lowry. While reading, they have been making amazing observations and connections about the book's symbols and the meaning behind them. Today we took class outside to draw some symbols we have identified while we discussed what they might mean. Check out this amazing work!
You can even hear a student explain his symbol here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RcpcGk59Cl1likmuNruMegQQ81jyY5gn/view?usp=drivesdk

Hello everyone! Our spring music programs will be happening soon! We will be performing on May 24th: TK-3rd grade's program will be at 1:00pm, and 4th-8th grade will be at 1:45pm. We are looking forward to it, and hope to see you there!

Lumberjack families, do you or anyone you know have a child that is going to turn 4 by September 10, 2023? If so, they might be ready for Bonner's Little Jack transitional kindergarten program. See the attached flyer and give Mrs. Lehnen at the front office a call at 406-258-6151 for more information or to set up your appointment for May 15.

An important part of the Close Up trip is making sure our students know that their elected representatives, and their offices, are accessible to citizens! We had the honor of meeting with both Montana Senators, Jon Tester and Steve Daines.

Ms.Vandermeulen's class was super excited to hang out with these cute baby chicks.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already time for the end-of-year Diagnostic! This is an important benchmark for understanding your student’s progress and growth over the course of the year, which is why it’s so important that they try their best. As with our previous Diagnostic administrations, there are some critical steps we need to take to make sure students are fully prepared and ready to try their best.
Here are a few things you can do to help support your student:
· As always, make sure they get a good night’s rest before taking the Diagnostic!
· Talk to your student about why the last Diagnostic is important. You can say things like:
o The last Diagnostic helps you find out how much progress you’ve made over the course of this school year.
o It allows your teacher and I to celebrate your accomplishments!
o Try your best, and do not rush—but don’t spend too much time on a question either.
· Let them know you’re excited to celebrate their progress.

This years Close Up trip was a blast! Beautiful weather, engaging topics, new people, and awe-inspiring landmarks helped make this trip unforgettable. And despite one travel hiccup in Denver, our 15 students repeatedly represented our community well and met every challenge. For those of you who don't know, Close Up is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that teaches students how to enter a dialogue with others and take on new information in order to empower them as citizens. Pictured here are some students with Mr. Huisken in front of Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
