Mrs. Zentgraf's 3rd grade class is finishing up a unit on animals through time! We had so much fun digging up "fossils", creating our own fossils and using fossils as clues to figure out what type of habitat was present when those animals lived there. We also really enjoyed using math to decide if we could outrun a dinosaur!

We had SO much fun!
Epic field trip last week at Fort Missoula! 6th grade explored artifacts big and small with museum experts, including a former Bonner board member (thanks Mr. Kuehn!) We got to tour the Bonner streetcar that existed before the bus line, a working saw mill, and some Timberjack memorabilia (filmed in 1955 in Bonner). We also couldn't resist a visit to the one-room schoolhouse. A special thanks to the Bonner Milltown History Center for helping us make it happen.
Students encountered a real-life opportunity to show GRIT today. They acted with great integrity and thoughtfulness when an injured hummingbird crash landed under a tree at recess.
Giving it plenty of space, students called over a teacher and asked what to do. After making an even wider circle to give the bird even more space, the little guy flew haphazardly up into the tree.
A little while later he crashed back down, still a bit stunned. A teacher then helped safely transport him to a location outside the playground where he flew off. Students’ compassion and quick thinking helped keep the hummingbird safe.
